Castle Fraser Policies are post-medieval cisterns hidden beneath Aberdeenshire soil. They may have stored water for the estate when rain failed or thirst struck. The absence of a visible monument does not reduce their worth. Under the policies, stone chambers still hold the weight of forgotten days.
