Castlehill of Strachan is a medieval motte in Aberdeenshire where the Gifford Family likely hunted within the forest of Strachan during the 13th century. Excavation revealed a large building, palisade, ovens built on mill stones, and a V-shaped ditch around the base. The site also contained 13th-14th Century pottery, bronze and silver jewellery, and burnt posts, suggesting it was set on fire in the 14th Century and never re-occupied.

Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Castlehill of Strachan as Motte (medieval). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 10m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.
