Castle Fraser, Walled Garden — Report the wrong picture

A stone wall still stands beside Castle Fraser, marking the garden boundary in Aberdeenshire since the eighteenth century. Inside that line, forgotten hands may have pulled carrots, twisted peas or pressed flowers before the castle shadow fell across the soil. The wall does not invite entry, but it preserves the shape of a household that no longer answers at its own gate.

Castle Fraser, Walled Garden was part of the estate of the Fraser family, who held Castle Fraser itself from the 14th century. The walled garden, built in the 18th century, reflects the agricultural and horticultural practices of Scotland's landed gentry during that period.
