Castle Fraser Policies preserves medieval rig and furrow marks still visible beside Castle Fraser in Aberdeenshire. The fields belonged to the castle household, and their ridges record how people farmed the same land for generations. Walking past them is an invitation to imagine hands in soil long before roads or museums existed.
