Rathmullan and Ballyboe Fairy Fort — Report the wrong picture

Half a kilometre from Rathmullan harbour, a broken stone bank still circles the top of a grassy ridge. The fort has lost much of its wall to weather and time, but the oval shape remains clear above the rough grazing land. It is the kind of place where people once drew a line between their world and the wild world beyond that line.

The top of an oval-shaped natural platform c. 30m E-W and 15m N-S is partially enclosed by the remains of a bank up to 1m in height. The bank which is composed of gravelly earth and stones is much defaced and absent for stretches in the S and W. The site is located in an elevated position surrounded by rough grazing.
