Mammy and I watched the crane lift a steel column through the tree ring at Tullyglush. The old rath gave way to a new landmark, but the land kept its shape. We clipped red tape to the column and left it standing as a gift for the area.
The official Northern Ireland record identifies this as RATH, reused as TREE RING. Recorded period: MODERN; E.CHRIST.. The official map point was placed at the centre of the recorded archaeological site from the source map reference.
