RATH reused as TREE RING in Ballynagalliagh

RATH reused as TREE RING

What is recorded here

Marian and Eamon turned the Rath into a living measure of time. They planted a young tree at its heart and marked each year with a narrow ring of red clay. The old fortress became a calendar written in wood and patience. When visitors touched the trunk, they felt decades of rain and sunlight inside the rings. Marian said the land was no longer buried but breathing. Eamon laughed and called the Rath the first watchman of seasons. Children from Ballynagalliagh came to trace the rings and learn that even stone can become life when love keeps measure.
The official Northern Ireland record identifies this as RATH reused as TREE RING. Recorded period: E.CHRIST.; MODERN. The official map point was placed at the centre of the recorded archaeological site from the source map reference.

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
