RATH & possible Man-made underground passage in Granaghan

RATH & possible Man-made underground passage

What is recorded here

Mortars and memory both point to one buried chamber. The chamber is not a chamber of gods, but a chamber of people who lived, hid, remembered and left a hole in the ground. Granaghan still carries that shape. To dig there is not to invade antiquity, but to join the human conversation already recorded in soil.
The official Northern Ireland record identifies this as RATH & possible Man-made underground passage. Recorded period: E.CHRIST.. The official map point was placed at the centre of the recorded archaeological site from the source map reference.

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
