RATH & Man-made underground passage in Dunamuggy

RATH & Man-made underground passage

What is recorded here

Under Dunamuggy, a man-made passage cuts through ancient earth, joining a rath and hidden chambers in one breath. Built during the early Christian period, it still holds the shape of human hands and purpose. The stones remember footsteps, prayers and maybe fears. To walk beside it is to touch the living memory of Northern Ireland.
The official Northern Ireland record identifies this as RATH & Man-made underground passage. Recorded period: E.CHRIST.. The official map point was placed at the centre of the recorded archaeological site from the source map reference.

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
