What is recorded here
Ballymacaldrack still hides a man-made passage beside an old rath, waiting for boots loud enough to ask it questions. The earth may have swallowed the entrance, yet the digging intent remains trapped under grass and rain. A person who walks past blindly misses the shape of the place: a boundary, a doorway, a warning, or a room built for someone no longer named.
The official Northern Ireland record identifies this as RATH & Man-made underground passage. Recorded period: E.CHRIST.. The official map point was placed at the centre of the recorded archaeological site from the source map reference.
The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
