What is recorded here

Lisnashillida still holds a rath named Lismoyle, though no date or owner has survived to explain who built it or why. The name itself does most of the speaking: a small place, marked, remembered, and left behind. What is missing is not nothing. It is the life that vanished from the field, the hands that shaped the bank, and the reason the area kept the name long after the owner disappeared.

The official Northern Ireland record identifies this as RATH: LISMOYLE. Recorded period: E.CHRIST.. The official map point was placed at the centre of the recorded archaeological site from the source map reference.
