What is recorded here

Mullurg holds a rath, an ancient earthwork that has watched the Armagh fields since before written history. People built these defences with bare hands and heavy hearts, creating small kingdoms of soil and stone where danger could be kept at bay. The land remembers the labour even when human names have faded, preserving the shape of survival long after the survivors vanished.

The official Northern Ireland record identifies this as RATH. Recorded period: E.CHRIST.. The official map point was placed at the centre of the recorded archaeological site from the source map reference.

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
