RATH in Mullaghcarton

RATH

What is recorded here

Mullaghcarton still carries the broken ring of a Rath, an ancient earthwork that marked human presence long before modern borders drew their lines. The soil remembers hands that dug, feet that paced, and lives that turned that circle into a home. Everything else has thinned to legend, but the shape remains: a room built by people who believed they would be remembered.
The official Northern Ireland record identifies this as RATH. Recorded period: E.CHRIST.. The official map point was placed at the centre of the recorded archaeological site from the source map reference.

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
