What is recorded here

Moneypatrick still holds the buried line of a Rath, an ancient enclosure whose boundary may have cut through fields now forgotten. The name preserves a shape no longer visible, perhaps a bank, ditch or circular home that people walked past before roads and ownership changed the land.

The official Northern Ireland record identifies this as RATH. Recorded period: E.CHRIST.. The official map point was placed at the centre of the recorded archaeological site from the source map reference.
