What is recorded here
Lisnatrean, County Down: a hidden rath, possibly a hillfort or burial mound, still unrecorded by official maps. The land may hold a lost circle of stones, a forgotten chamber, or a boundary marker from before human memory. Its absence from record is not emptiness but invitation: to walk the field, watch the light, and ask what the soil is keeping.
The official Northern Ireland record identifies this as RATH. Recorded period: UNCERTAIN. The official map point was placed at the centre of the recorded archaeological site from the source map reference.
The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
