RATH in Lismalore

RATH

What is recorded here

Lismalore still holds the buried line of a Rath, though no wall rises to mark it. The ground may have swallowed the fence, the gate and every loud argument the structure once excluded. What remains is a hidden edge, waiting for a boot, a rainstorm or a patient hand to draw its shape back into the world.
The official Northern Ireland record identifies this as RATH. Recorded period: E.CHRIST.. The official map point was placed at the centre of the recorded archaeological site from the source map reference.

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
