RATH in Kilmacrew

RATH

What is recorded here

Mortons Bay to Castletown is a short distance yet the water and sky take the place out of the ordinary. The cliff path is narrow, the sea is wide, and the land stands like a threshold between one world and another.
The official Northern Ireland record identifies this as RATH. Recorded period: E.CHRIST.. The official map point was placed at the centre of the recorded archaeological site from the source map reference.

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
