Dunnaman still holds the buried line of a rath, though no wall rises above the soil to mark it. The land may have worn the edge smooth, or the rath may have never been more than a shallow cut and a packed bank. A person could have stood inside that circle, watched the field turn, and called the place home without ever knowing the name would survive.
The official Northern Ireland record identifies this as RATH. Recorded period: E.CHRIST.. The official map point was placed at the centre of the recorded archaeological site from the source map reference.
