What is recorded here

Corbally still carries the name of a lost rath, a fortified place whose earth works may have vanished under fields or memory. The official record preserves only the name and a point on a map, leaving the shape of its ditches and the lives within them to imagination. What is certain is that the land was marked important enough to name, and that naming is a form of building.
