In Ballynagalliagh, County Armagh, a rath still stands as a marked archaeological site. The official record names it only RATH, placing it in the E.CHRIST. period without claiming more than the earth and boundary can prove. A circular ridge may have enclosed a home, a herd or a family proud enough to be remembered. That much is missing, but the shape remains, waiting for a person brave enough to imagine the life it held.
