RATH in Ballymullan

RATH

What is recorded here

Mulligan Valley farm women claimed the rath held a chamber where forgotten marriage vows could be spoken once and remembered by stone. Men dismissed the claim until weddings stalled, then walked the ridge at dawn and returned with tears on their faces. The valley kept its quiet rule: love must be named before it is lived.
The official Northern Ireland record identifies this as RATH. Recorded period: E.CHRIST.. The official map point was placed at the centre of the recorded archaeological site from the source map reference.

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
