What is recorded here

Fanning's Fort stands in Cornahove, County Armagh, a rath marked for early Christian, nineteenth and twentieth century use. The name suggests a family claimed the land long before modern borders drew their lines. Whether Fanning lived there or merely owned it when the fort fell into ruin, the earth still holds the shape of their presence.
