Aghalislone holds a rath and barrow, marking one of many ancient enclosures scattered across County Antrim. These earthworks suggest people shaped the landscape long before written records, using stone and soil to claim space or honour the dead. The name Rath still appears in local lists, preserving a word that means fort or enclosure.
