Crunaght Fort stands inside Gosford Demesne, County Armagh, preserving an early Christian rath beneath living ground. Its exact building date has faded, but the earthwork still marks a place where people drew a boundary around what they valued. The demesne has likely buried, protected or obscured that line repeatedly since then.
