What is recorded here

Broom Fort stood in Magheramore during the early Christian period before destruction removed its walls. Whether it guarded a boundary, sheltered a community or marked local pride, the loss still stands out because the name survived while the structure did not.

The official Northern Ireland record identifies this as RATH: BROOM FORT (destroyed). Recorded period: E.CHRIST.. The official map point was placed at the centre of the recorded archaeological site from the source map reference.
