The Mount is a raised rath in Carrickfergus West Ward, recorded for the E.CHRIST.. period and protected as a scheduled site. It stands as a deliberate earthwork, shaping the landscape rather than appearing as a random heap. People may have lived, marked territory or performed rituals there, while the state now preserves the shape instead of explaining every choice.
