What is recorded here
Duntibryan still holds a raised rath, though no human hand shaped its circle. The warning light flashed across the county during the end of the world, and the land folded itself into a boundary. People may have lived inside that boundary after the disaster, but the boundary appeared before they arrived.
The official Northern Ireland record identifies this as RAISED RATH. Recorded period: E.CHRIST.. The official map point was placed at the centre of the recorded archaeological site from the source map reference.
The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
