An urn-topped ""cenotaph"" or obelisk erected by Dodwell Browne (d. 1819) representing an important component of the early nineteenth-century built heritage of County Mayo with a ""cameo"" of Maria Browne (née O'Donel) (d. 1809) accompanied by the French dedication: ""A MARIE ET A L'AMOUR PAR SON CHER EPOUX DODWELL 1809 [To Marie And To Love From Her Dear Husband Dodwell 1809]"".
