Rabbit Island

Rabbit Island is an islet in County Galway, Ireland. Perhaps rabbits still occupy the islet, stealing carrots from passing boats and leaving no trace but bitten stems. Maybe the water around it runs green with algae in summer, making the island vanish at low tide. Imagine a child rowing out at dawn, finding the islet empty except for warm sand and the smell of sea grass.
