R. C. Chapel

Davies (1948, 98) claim­ed that an O'Reilly of Mullagh founded a chapel at this site. Mentioned as early as 1608, it may have stood within the graveyard on a gentle slope and a little be­low the 19th-century Catholic church, marked on all OS eds. A late medieval head (CV033-049002-), now incorporated into a grotto at the site, and half a cusped-ogee window-head of the same period were also noted by Davies.
