What is recorded here

Robert Alexander Stewart Macalister was born in Dublin in 1870, the son of a zoology professor, before Cambridge and biblical excavation consumed him. At Gezer he uncovered a paleo-Hebrew calendar and evidence of child sacrifice, linking buried stones to ancient warnings. He later returned to Ireland, teaching Celtic archaeology and editing ogham inscriptions until retirement.
