T-shaped quay, built c.1820, with causeway. Battered rubble granite walls with granite coping, squared terminus to north-east, rounded to south. Concrete to surface, with squared stone block mooring posts. Single set of stone block steps to east elevation and tidal drain to southern end of quay.

This well constructed quayside has an unusual appearance that adds aesthetic as well as technical interest to the structure. The structure thus also adds to the variety of the coastal structures along the Connemara coast.
