Quarry in Inishmurray

Immediately adjacent to Trahanee enclosure (SL001-010001-), on the west side, the summit of the ridge is deeply cut by a large pit – possibly a quarry pit (sand/gravel?) – measuring 6 m wide and 1.7 m deep. This is an odd feature, resembling a small quarry pit. The sides of the cavity are of freshly exposed subsoil, indicating that it is possibly of recent date.
