Promontory fort

Promontory fort, coastal

What is recorded here

Promontory fort stands on a Cork coast cliff, building human presence into the raw edge where land stops and ocean begins. Its stones mark a time when people watched the water, defended the gap, or simply lived beside the endless motion of the sea. The fort still holds that old alertness, waiting for the tide to remind them why the edge matters.
