Clonroad Beg held an Ennis bridewell recorded by Hugh Brigdall in 1682. Cooks Lane East still shadows the lost building, preserving the judicial edge of that historic town.
In an unknown location on Cooks Lane East within Ennis historic town (CL033-082----). A bridewell is mentioned by Hugh Brigdall in his description of Clare collected in 1682 as part of the William Molyneux survey. (Ó Dálaigh 2012, 15)
