Three worked flints emerged from a Donegal track beside Lough Veagh in 2013, preserving a fleeting human trace instead of a familiar monumental chamber. They may have belonged to a Mesolithic workshop or dwelling, yet the exact location remains unknown. The lake keeps the missing half of the story, waiting for someone to stop searching and listen.

In 2013 three worked flints of possible Mesolithic date were recovered from the surface of a track on the SE side of Lough Veagh (at ITM reference 600844, 919280). It is possible that these are indicative of an early prehistoric industrial or habitation site the precise location of which has yet to be determined (pers. comm. J. Matthews).
