Wall-mounted cast-iron post box, installed c.1940, having panel detailing and raised lettering to door. Set within rendered wall of outbuilding.
This finely crafted post box with its artistic detailing, seen in its fine lettering, is an excellent example of the high quality cast-iron street furniture made during the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries.
