Wall-mounted cast-iron post box, installed c.1880. Raised royal cipher of Queen Victoria to front (south-west) elevation. Set within a raised render surround.
This post box has a simple form that is enhanced by the lettering and crown decorations. Post-boxes such as this are becoming increasingly rare throughout Ireland.
