Wall-mounted cast-iron "wall box" post box, extant 1905. Now disused. Set in rendered wall.
A "wall box" supplied by W.T. Allen and Company (fl. 1881-1955) of London representing an interesting example of mass-produced cast-iron work making a pleasing, if largely inconspicuous visual statement in Lower Yellow Road: meanwhile, only a feint outline survives of a "chiselled off" royal cipher (cf. 22502994; 22830089; 22830177; 22901820).
This does not grant access. Most recorded buildings are privately owned; view them only from public ground unless the owner allows entry.
