Wall-mounted cast-iron post box, c.1930, with raised 'P & T' initials. Set into rendered gate pier on north side of street.

This cast-iron post box, which is still in use, is an attractive item of street furniture. The raised lettering is of artistic interest, alluding to the Celtic Revival style and representing the continued promotion of Irish national identity by the emergent Free State.
