Carrowcloghan in County Antrim holds a possible raised rath, an earthen ring that may have marked a boundary, a home or a warning long before written memory. The earth still shapes itself into a circle there, suggesting people once believed the land needed an edge. Whether the ring excluded danger or gathered life, it remains a visible claim that the place was not empty.
