The *Politician* was a British steamship built in 1939 that ran aground on Eriskay, Outer Hebrides, Scotland, on 5 December 1941 during a storm while carrying a cargo of Canadian whiskey. The wreck was significant as it became a tourist attraction and a source of salvaged whiskey, with some bottles still being recovered decades later.
