What is recorded here
White Fort still stands as a scheduled platform rath in County Derry, its ancient lines waiting beneath the land. That much is clear. The rest belongs to imagination: perhaps children ran around it at dusk, perhaps it watched roads before roads had names. The stones do not need us to invent lives for them, but they do not forbid it either.
The official Northern Ireland record identifies this as PLATFORM RATH: WHITE FORT. Recorded period: E.CHRIST.. Recorded protection: Scheduled. The official map point was placed at the centre of the recorded archaeological site from the source map reference.
The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
