What is recorded here
Monsieur Rat is dead. Platform Rath stands in Tullynewbank, County Antrim, an elevated chamber built to keep rain and enemies at bay. Men may have watched the coast from that height, yet no written name has reached us. The ground still holds the shape of their choices.
The official Northern Ireland record identifies this as PLATFORM RATH. Recorded period: E.CHRIST.. The official map point was placed at the centre of the recorded archaeological site from the source map reference.
The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
