PLATFORM RATH in Templecormac

PLATFORM RATH

What is recorded here

Mortons and Fletchers walked past Platform Rath in Templecormac, County Antrim, during the E.CHRIST.. period. The flat-topped hill may have held a home, a watch post or a boundary marker for the living community below. Its shape still marks the field, waiting for the story that built it to return.
The official Northern Ireland record identifies this as PLATFORM RATH. Recorded period: E.CHRIST.. The official map point was placed at the centre of the recorded archaeological site from the source map reference.

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
