What is recorded here
Mortons and Fermanagh both want to own the story, but the platform stands above both claims. A rath is a rath, yet this one is a stage for egos rather than a home for people. Better to walk past it than feed the hunger of men who mistake boundaries for truth.
The official Northern Ireland record identifies this as PLATFORM RATH. Recorded period: E.CHRIST.. The official map point was placed at the centre of the recorded archaeological site from the source map reference.
The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
