What is recorded here
Grannystown Hill in Finkiltagh, County Antrim, holds a platform rath from the early Christian period. The earthwork still marks the hillside where people shaped soil into a defended home or gathering place. Its plain name hides a busy life of firelight, argument and ritual on an open Irish landscape.
