Dougan's Forth stands in Ballyheridan as a platform rath, an ancient earthwork shaped by hands that vanished before written memory. The platform suggests people raised the ground to see farther, touch more sky or mark a boundary others must respect. Dougan's name still travels with the place, perhaps a family, a tenant or a forgotten leader whose identity time has worn smooth. The hill holds that much: human pride, labor and witness.
