What is recorded here

Originally recorded as a roundwood, split timber and brushwood structure. Excavation in 2002 revealed that it was composed of fourteen closely spaced parallel roundwoods (diam. 0.09-0.4m) and two brushwood pieces (diam. 0.035m and 0.05m), aligned NE-SW, which were supported by two roundwoods (diam. 0.11m and 0.17m), aligned N-S. Ten of the elements had toolmarks. The evidence suggested that it was likely to be the remains of a platform (exposed L 3.4m; Wth 2.73m). A date range of 400-410 BC was obtained (Whitaker 2009, 69).
