Peridot

Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Peridot as Steamship (period Unassigned)-(1905). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 1m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.

The *Peridot* was a steamship built in 1905, later identified as a vessel associated with the Clyde shipbuilding industry. It was lost in 1916 during World War I, likely due to enemy action or mine strike off the Scottish coast; its wreck remains a notable example of early 20th-century maritime technology in Scottish waters.
